Alger. Mes îles aux mouettes

I wrote this memoir for two very simple reasons.

The first was to satisfy the need to relive, in a sense, the years of my childhood and adolescence in a country that I loved very much. After years of moving across the world due to my husband's professional requirements, I felt the need to find my roots.

The second reason is the desire to pass on a legacy: to share the lives of the French in Algeria during the period of French presence through the people I knew, including friends and family members. It is also to evoke the years of war until our final departure.
