Journal d’exil
In his Journal d'exil, Jean Brune describes his wanderings across Europe from July 1961 to February 1963. It is a narrative at once full of bitterness and sadness, but also of revolt and humor. And, of course, radiating with poetry.
Over there
The beauty of the Italian skies wounds me like an insolence or a challenge, because it leads me irresistibly back to lost landscapes. The magic of the light on stony plateaus, the anger of the waves on the beaches and the clouds that the wind kneads into reassuring shapes like familiar chimeras, everything that is over there at once similar and different from what is offered to me here by the same trees, the same shores and identical skies, because over there, everything is weighed down by a great secret which is the memory of the first wonders of childhood.
